So, you’d like to get out on the water. Where do you start? What do you do if you don’t own a boat? How do you learn to be safe around other vessels, and prepare for tides, currents, and weather?

The non-motorized small boating community is larger than you think – and they love to share their passion and knowledge with others. Joining a boating club, taking classes or a guided tour, or volunteering with a local conservation group is the great way to get involved, learn new skills, and become part of the growing Water Trail community.

The Water Trail Program holds biannual public meetings, and we welcome you to join us! Please see the Water Trail page on the Coastal Conservancy’s website for specific meeting details and agendas.
